Wild Horses In Need, Ojai, California

The Ojai Ranch is located in the picturesque Ojai Valley, which is located in Southern California about 90 minutes north of Los Angeles. The WIN horses have approx. 2000 acres to roam and call home. The Ojai Ranch is a perfect place for the horses to be and feel free. It is a very natural setting; trees, creeks and wildlife abound. Here in Ojai the horses are blessed with beautiful weather year round. And when we have a summer heat wave they have their choice of which tree to take shade under for an afternoon nap!! And rain, what rain? This is Southern California! But when we have the occasional rainstorm there are natural shelters as well as WIN provided shelters throughout the ranch. Ojai is a small, quaint town composed of artisans, farmers, cowboys and families. It is a very special place both for Humans and Horses!

Wild Horses In Need, Fillmore, Utah

A portion of the WIN Shoshone horse herd resides in Fillmore, Utah at Ashton Farms. They graze in the summer time and feed in the wintertime on grass hay that is raised on the farm. Our costs are less than if they were being fed year round in California. They are able to run, be in the elements of wind, sun and snow– whatever the time of year is. We can think of nothing better for them than to enjoy that freedom that they once had in Nevada on the Shoshone reservation. They once again have that freedom on Ashton Farms.
